Seven-time Grammy winner, Gladys Knight, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame inductees, The O’Jays, will come to Irving as part of their summer tour on Wednesday, August 8.
Gladys Knight is a soul singer born on the 28th of May 1944, hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She has been consistently writing, recording and performing for over 60 years, making her professional debut in 1953. As a seven-time Grammy Award-winner, Knight is best known for the hits she recorded during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, for both the Motown and Buddah Records labels.
Having made a genuine impact worldwide in their seventies heyday, it’s little wonder that The O’Jays can count themselves amongst the revered inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as well as the recipients of a BET Lifetime Achievement Award. That’s not to mention when their classic track ‘For the Love of Money’ was used as the theme to NBC’s global smash television show ‘The Apprentice’.
Now is your chance to catch Gladys Knight and The O’Jays perform live! The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory offers an incredible live entertainment experience for both artists and fans. We look forward to seeing you at this concert that you don’t want to miss!
