The national tour of “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” recently launched in January and is headed to Winspear Opera House on Sunday, May 26.

An adaptation of the best-selling Disney-Hyperion novel by Rick Riordan, in “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” the Greek gods are real, and they’re ruining Percy Jackson’s life. Life is tough enough when you're going though puberty, but Percy Jackson's not only facing teendom with ADHD and dyslexia, he's just discovered he's a demi-god, son of the God Of the Sea Poseidon.

As a son of Poseidon, Percy has newly discovered powers he can’t control, monsters on his trail, and is on an epic quest to find Zeus’s lightning bolt to prevent a war between the gods. When Jackson's human mom is kidnapped and the lightning bolt of Zeus is stolen by malevolent forces, the wonderkid and his newfound friends go on a quest to set the world to rights.

Chris McCarrell again steps into the role of Percy Jackson; Kristin Stokes, who played Annabeth in the Off-Broadway staging, also reprises her role. Two other actors from the New York production are also part of the touring company: Sarah Beth Pfeifer as Clarice and James Hayden Rodriguez as Luke.

Tickets start at $80 and are available online at https://www.dallas-theater.com. We encourage you to purchase tickets now because you don’t want to miss it!
